Are you ready to pedal through some of Norway`s most breathtaking coastal landscapes? Every turn unveils a new vista of scenic beauty as you explore the Arctic Coast and Vesterålen by bike.

Take a deep breath and fill your lungs with fresh sea air as you set off into an exciting and beautiful landscape of mountains, ocean, fjords and islands. See the Midnight Sun from the end of May till mid-July, but it never really gets dark in summer.

Your adventure begins in Tromsø, the vibrant Arctic city known as the "Gateway to the Arctic". Take in the majestic views of snow-capped peaks and fjords as you pedal away from the city, heading towards the coastal gem of Sommarøy. You go along winding coastal roads, with views of turquoise waters and white sandy beaches at every turn. Stop to breathe in the fresh sea air and perhaps dip your toes in the chilly Arctic Ocean before continuing your journey towards Senja.

As you cycle across Senja, prepare to be mesmerized by its dramatic landscapes of towering mountains, deep fjords, and lush valleys. Bike along the rugged coastline of Andøya, and marvel at the untouched wilderness while keeping an eye out for whales breaching in the distance. Wind your way through charming fishing villages as you explore the idyllic landscapes of Vesterålen. Here, you can relax and enjoy the silence as you move through varied, beautiful and impressive nature. Mostly easy cycling along quiet fjords and towering mountain peaks, over bright coloured marshes and lush cultural landscapes. In the west, the landscape is characterized by the foaming ocean. Extra days in Nyksund and Bø gives you opportunities for optional cycling, hiking and boat trips. You will find the well-known hiking trail the Queen`s Route in Nyksund.

This cycling tour is a combination of two self-guided tours, where the route showcases the best of Northern Norway`s coastal scenery.
