The Hardanger Fjord route includes some of the finest sceneries Norway has to offer. This adventure offers stunning views of fjords, towering mountains, and the majestic Folgefonna Glacier - a feast for the eyes as you explore in slow motion.
Hardanger is renowned as Norway's largest fruit and berry region. As you bike through charming fruit farms, you’ll witness the beautiful blossom season in early summer and find fresh, delicious fruit available at farm stands in late summer and fall. Just help yourself and leave money in the honesty box - a true taste of local tradition.
The trip starts off with a train ride from Bergen to Voss. The route tthen takes you along a mix of quiet, picturesque roads and some busier stretches, offering a variety of landscapes. Enjoy restful ferry crossings, where you can soak in the incredible views from the water. One of the highlights is cycling across the stunning Hardanger Fjord Bridge, an engineering marvel with panoramic vistas of the fjord.
Your last night is spent in the quaint village of Rosendal. Don’t miss the chance to visit the historic Rosendal Barony, a beautiful estate rich in history.
From Sunde, south of Rosendal, a scenic sea voyage takes you back to Bergen, completing your tour.

Spring is truly spectacular in Hardanger. Not only are the waterfalls and contrasts in nature at their most significant, but this is also the time when all fruit trees in the region come to life. With popping green fields, snow-capped mountains, and roaring waterfalls, everything is set to enjoy the fruit blossoming in Hardanger. The blossoming usually starts in mid-May and lasts for about one month.
