Walk the Explore Rondane Route - a multi-day adventure on well marked trails. The terrain is gentle and you are surrounded by grand landscapes and dramatic mountains. An excellent opportunity to introduce children and first-time hikers to the mountains.
Discover the magic of hiking at Høvringen, near Rondane National Park, with an unforgettable multi-day trek between charming mountain lodges. Experience the tranquility of the mountains without the burden of carrying heavy bags – your luggage will be transported for you, allowing you to fully enjoy the stunning landscapes and wildlife. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a nature enthusiast, this self-guided tour offers well-marked trails through gentle terrain, perfect for soaking in the dramatic views of the Rondane massif. Listen for the calls of native birds, and keep an eye out for reindeer, moose, and foxes along the way.
With daily stages ranging from 6 to 12 kilometers, you can easily extend your hikes for more adventure. The local hosts at Høvringen Fjellstue, Smuksjøseter, and Putten Seter are experts in the area, ready to recommend the best routes based on weather and your preferences. After each day’s hike, relax in comfort with ready-made beds and enjoy a three-course dinner. Accommodations include cozy family or double rooms with private bathrooms, ensuring a restful stay.

For bookings with child discount, please send us an e-mail with name of all travellers, date of birth for the children, and requested dates for the tour.
When booking, you will receive a new email from us when all accommodations are confirmed. This may take from a few hours up to 3 business days. Please do not book your flight until you have received the email confirmation from us.
