We specialise in self-guided hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing tours, combining carefully planned routes with comfortable accommodation, luggage transport and local knowledge. Our tours take you through some of Norway’s most spectacular mountains, fjords and coastal landscapes.
Travel Independently – With Everything Arranged
Our self-guided tours give you the freedom to travel at your own pace. We plan the route, book your accommodation and arrange luggage transfers and other practical details, so you can concentrate on the experience.
Depending on the tour, you may travel from hotel to hotel on foot or by bike, ski between mountain lodges, or combine cycling and hiking with ferries, express boats, trains and local buses. We design our tours to give you time to experience the places you travel through, not just pass through them.

We know the routes, seasons and destinations we work with, and have built long-standing relationships with local hotels, mountain lodges, transport providers and activity partners.
Many of the accommodations we use are small, family-run places where you can enjoy local food and genuine Norwegian hospitality. Our local partnerships are an important part of what makes our tours work.

Travel at Your Own Pace
Self-guided tours are at the heart of what we do. We plan the route and arrange the practical details, while you decide how to experience it. Stop for lunch, take a detour, explore a viewpoint or simply take your time, there is no guide or group to follow.
Before you travel, we provide detailed route information, maps and other practical information. Depending on the tour, we can also arrange transport, activities, bike rental and other local services.

Discover Norway is a privately owned Norwegian tour operator, established in 1998 and based in Lillehammer. We specialise in active holidays in Norway, with a focus on hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing.
The company is owned by CEO Borghild Krossli, who has extensive experience in the Norwegian travel industry. Together with Hilde Rindal and Kristin Telle, she forms a small, dedicated team working with tour development, bookings, partners and guests.

Our passion for hiking, cycling and skiing is at the heart of what we do. We know the destinations and routes we offer because we have developed and travelled many of them ourselves.
We work closely with local hotels, mountain lodges, transport providers and activity partners, building long-standing relationships with people who know their area well. This local knowledge helps us choose good routes, comfortable accommodation and reliable logistics.
Many of our tours are developed in-house, and we know the details that matter when travelling through Norway, from terrain and route difficulty to seasonal conditions, transport connections and places worth stopping along the way.
We are a small Norwegian company with a big passion for helping people experience Norway on foot, by bike and on skis.
