Explore Vesterålen and Lofoten by bike. From Vesterålen's tranquil coastline with majestic mountains and vast beaches to Lofoten's grandiose mountain formations rising from the sea like mighty watchtowers.

Dreaming of experiencing some of Norway's most iconic landscapes in a truly unique way? Join Discover Norway on an unforgettable cycling journey through two archipelagos and discover the spectacular beauty along Norway's coastline! Embark on our adventure and let yourself be enchanted by the dramatic landscape that surrounds you at every pedal stroke. This tour is a combination of the two tours cycling through the Lofoten Isles and the roundtrip in Vesterålen. Vesterålen, a hidden gem north of Lofoten often has fewer visitors than the more known Lofoten Islands. In Lofoten, you must expect some traffic along the way during the main tourist season.

In Vesterålen, you can relax and enjoy the silence as you move through varied, beautiful, and exciting nature. Mostly easy cycling along calm fjords and at the foot of impressive peaks, across colourful marshes and lush cultural landscapes. At times, the landscape is characterized by the raging open sea to the west. Extra days in Nyksund and Bø allow for additional kilometers on the bike seat or a hike in the mighty mountains.

A cycling holiday in Lofoten is an experience for life. Around practically every turn, you'll find new, indescribably beautiful landscapes. The nature in Lofoten is powerful, with lush mountainsides and towering peaks rising straight from the sea.

Along the way, you'll pass charming fishing villages and picturesque small communities that line the route like pearls on a string. Stop and enjoy the authentic atmosphere, take a break by the harbor and observe the bustling fishing life, or taste fresh seafood delicacies at a local restaurant.

In addition to the stunning nature, you'll also have the opportunity to explore the rich culture and history that characterizes these islands. Visit local museums, galleries, and craft shops, and learn more about life along the coast through the ages. There are several opportunities to do activities like hiking, kayaking, fishing or go for a boat trip looking for sea eagles along the route. The well-know Queen`s Route in Vesterålen is well worth hiking.
